Creating your perfect cup of tea is easier than ever with loose leaf tea. You're in complete control of the flavor and strength, and can even experiment by blending different teas. It's perfect for brewing hot or iced tea and is typically more affordable per serving than tea bags.

I order this tea because a friend brought it and shared in her tea party then I felt in love with it. So I went online and Google it for my Mother's day gift.
I recall seeing a glass jar version photo on the website when I place the order but I didn't expect it would be a sealed zipper bag instead when I receive it. The original glass jar was so nice and great for gifting. I went online to double check again but the photo is replaced by Zipper bag packaging. I was a bit disappointed with this surprise.
Store owner replied:
The glass jars were temporarily offered as a sale item on our website, and there was a limited supply. We regularly offer the tea in either 2oz or 8oz pouches. Due to supply chain issues, and occasional breakage during shipment, glass jars will not be available for purchase any longer. But thank you for sharing the photo of the adorable jar...we loved the look of those too. We hope you enjoy the pouches that we have recently redesigned!
Good service. Tea is great. Prickly pear black. Great iced.
I discovered this tea while vacationing in AZ. This is a fabulous blend! I had to order more and was thrilled to find the website and that it had so many other teas. I'm trying some new ones, but this blend is my favorite so far!!
Highly disappointed that the tea is called "Prickly Pear" but uses safflower flowers instead. False advertising. I purchased fresh prickly pear to add on my own.
Lesson learned.
The prickly pear cactus black tea is very good. It's a little sweeter than the other brand I tried so I don't put any honey in it. I'm really enjoying it, both hot and iced.
It makes for a wonderful ice tea in the warm season. I also enjoy it hot with honey and a splash of soy milk. Makes a great Arizona souvenir for family & friends overseas.
Not happy with it because I want to drink it over ice. There are no directions that tell me how much to use for a 1/2 gallon or 1 gallon pitcher. Also, as soon as I refrigerated it, it turned completely cloudy. :( Overall disappointed unless you can give better directions for brewing and ways to keep it from going completely cloudy.

Hi Jan,
Thank you for the feedback! Our guide for making the perfect glass of iced tea can be found on this page: https://www.mayatea.com/pages/learn-iced-tea with a video and some written instructions.
Regarding the cloudiness, iced tea can become cloudy when it's cooled too quickly, causing some of the compounds in the tea, like caffeine, to become erratic and form tiny particles. This effect is more noticeable in strong brews or when using hard water.
We hope that helps and feel free to reach out to us at info@mayatea.com if we can be of any further assistance.
Thank you!
I like the tea. However, I am disappointed that it contains no prickly pear. The tea we bought from you a few years ago did contain prickly pear. That's basically the only reason I bought the black tea. The herbal I b ought I gave as gifts.
I had bought a small bag of this, it was apparently the older style that had some prickly pear pieces in it. It had a really good taste with a bit of sweetness. The current tea no longer has those pieces (i was told that they "can't include them anymore"). The newer formula is not as good a the previous one. It is okay, but just not the same intensity. I'm not sure if this was due to the lack of actual prickly pear, or something else, but it was a bit disappointing. It's not bad, just not as good as it had been.
My husband found your Prickly Pear Black Tea at the gift shop of the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum and loved it. I'd love to know where I can find your teas in the Phoenix area--I'm an herbal tea drinker and your like to try some of those as well.
Love to sip this robust and flavorful black tea first thing in the morning as the sunshine is streaming into our sunroom while we watch wintertime birds mob the feeders just outside.
Prickly Pear tea and hot scones fresh from the oven … Yum!
