I tried this last night. It wasn’t how I expect a mole to be. It didn’t thicken like it said and it’s VERY salty. I had to add raw sugar to it to take down the saltiness. Once I did that, the mole flavor came out. The positive is as a Celiac, it is gluten free!
I have been searching for over 30 years fo an easy way to make this type of Mole. This is the closest to one of my best friends mom use to make! Love it!!! My husband's favorite dish when I add this to chicken.
I have used this Ole Mole before . It was great . I have recently purchased the new Ole Mole spice mix . I followed the recipe directions on the package . The results were not good . Too spicy and too hot. What has
changed ?

Love these spices! 2 small chicken broth cans and one packet with chicken, slowly cooked and best easy dinner ever. I thickened the broth with flour for a fabulous gravy. Yes, proudly serve with beans, tortillas, and rice. Thank you.
Amazing spice packet
I purchased this packet mix at Red Rock Canyon gift shop, made chicken mole, one of the best things u have ever tasted! Went back to Red Rock yesterday and they said they were out or had switched vendors😡😡 So happy I found you online 😁😁😁😁 I will by the ole` mole regularly 🤩
ole mole
I love Mole and this has amazing flavor, but it is VERY spicy. I have to mix 1/4 bag with a can of enchilada sauce and its still a bit hard for the kids to eat.
ole mole
I happened upon Ole Mole while at the Santa Cruz Spice Co. in Tumacacori, Arizona. I am SO glad I picked it up and made it the first night I was back in California. My husband was thrilled to have a Mole sauce that was reminiscent of what his \'Mama O\' had made for the family. The flavors subtly complement each other; the cocoa, the chile, the cinnamon all work together to bring a unique flavor out. Even better? This sauce takes but a minute or two, but tastes as if it simmered all day! The consistency is perfect too. I had my mom bring some back from Arizona with her since it was such a hit! When the sauce is finished you can even stir in a bit of sour cream to smooth it out if you like yours that way. Just add chicken and rice if you like. I whipped up some white rice boiled in chicken broth, a slice of butter and some salt. I also cooked my skinless/boneless chicken in broth and then shredded it, put it on top of the rice and drizzled Mole sauce all over it. Yummy! I am definitely going to mail order this spice mix from now on! So much better than the canned or jarred kinds in the stores that are in Cali. Thank you!
ole mole
My family lived in the southwest for 9 years prior to moving to Maryland 7 years ago. I so miss some of the true southwest flavors such as Mole sauce and Hatch green chilies. This Mole sauce is quite authentic, as good as anything I had in Sante Fe.
ole mole
I tried Ole Mole for the first time tonight and was very impressed with the depth of flavor it provided. Just the right amount of kick, with cocoa, cinnamon and chili peppers all holding their own. This will be one of my go to quick dinner items. It was really good, and I don\'t impress easily.
