I discovered Maya Chai at a local coffee shop. They unfortunately are not close however, I loved the Chai. I searched online and bought it right away. I really wanted to cut out sugars and thought I was ordering the pure tea form with the "No Sugar" label. This version has a terrible aftertaste that really over powers the Chai flavors- I am so disappointed. It has added sweetener- Stevia- I love that it is produced in Tucson AZ. I'd like to see a spicy Chai option too.

Hi Michelle,
We apologize that our Zero Sugar Chai wasn't what you hoped for. We've reached out to you separately via email to discuss further.
Thank you,
Maya Tea Company
I dislike the taste. The sweetener leaves an after taste that is really awful. I am sorry.
I have asked this before: please make a decaf version of Chai and I will be happy again.

My favorite coffee shop in town uses Maya Deva chai, so I bought some for home use and have loved it. Except the sugar-free version beckoned - so I ordered some and I love it too!
I love my original maya chai, but I need to cut down on sugar. So I ordered the sugar free. The taste isn’t nearly the same. Is there any way you can make it more spicy and flavorful without adding sugar? I added coconut sugar free syrup- it was ok- just missing the spice.
I really wanted to like this chai. It's not terrible but it has 2 major problems: 1) The after taste is just a tad too strong. I don't know if there is another sweetener that could be combined to take away a bit of the taste from the Thau sweet 2) It's really not that strong of a chai taste. Perhaps it's a more personal preference.
I'm not sure I love the new no sugar option. The taste is different. I preferred the low sugar option you used to have that was sweetened by monk fruit.
Personally I believe the switch to 0 sugar was a mistake.
Both the regular and low sugar variants were very tasty, but this sweetener leaves has a very weird aftertaste making it much less enjoyable.
Really hoping a low-sugar comes back, or they switch back their sweetener if it was changed.
