Lapsang Souchong carries a smooth distinguished finish with a lasting impression. This unique black tea is originally from the Wuyi region of the Chinese province of Fujian. This tea has less caffeine than other black teas due to its larger-leaves, making it perfect for evening consumption. Be warned, this tea has a reputation - many either love it or hate it, it takes some time to adjust to the flavor. Try this smoky tea with milk for a smooth and creamy addition.

The Lapsang Souchong Black tea is very drinkable. My regular supplier has been unable to get it back in stock. I am glad that Maya Tea had it in stock. When I need to I will reorder from Maya.

Such an incredible tea. Lapsang is one of my favorites, I've brewed it from a few different brands over the years and this has to be the best. It has that classic strong smokey fragrance but the tea itself remains smooth and subtle (or as subtle as a lapsang can be). The pine reveals itself more in an iced brew whereas hot the cup has a more complex earthy balance. Highly recommend.

Thanks for asking. This Lap Sang is on the milder side both from the standpoint of the tea and the smoke. It is well-balanced and I find it pleasant. I was hoping for a smokier taste and a little bolder tea but these are obviously matters of "taste" and some might find it to be the Goldilocks.

This is a very robust tea, which is great with me. I do like a full flavored cup, however the smokiness is quite pronounced and overwhelms the other senses. It's a bit too much for me. I have a friend tho that I think will enjoy it and I will keep it on hand for her.

I was looking for a great smokey flavor and have tried many brands. There is a hard balance to find between smokiness and the tea base. Some have strong smokey notes, but very a very weak base, and some have a strong base but little smoke. This tea is more of the latter. The smoke is there, but it's on the milder side, with a very robust base. This tea is a great contender, but I'm still looking for the perfect one with both intense smoke and a robust base.
